Description Dennis Conrad 2005-09-13 09:09:52 UTC
In GNOME, pictures are opened in GIMP by default. We should open pictures in
image viewer by default, which is set to eog ATM.

If you double click on a picturte you normally only want to view it, not to edit it.

This is a bug. defaults.list defines to open images in gthumb, but gthumb is not
part of GNOME selection.

Changing to eog with exception of image/x-ico, which cannot be displayed nor by
eog nor gthumb. Setting to display from ImageMagick.

The same is valid for PostScript - ggv is not in the selection and we should use
evince.

It's too late for 10.0 and not enough critical for YOU. But you can edit your
/opt/gnome/share/applications/defaults.list as root or set right click ->
Properties -> Open with.

It will appear later in 10.1, OpenSuSE and supplementary.
