Description Marcus Wegner 2005-09-13 11:32:06 UTC
The lirc worked in my SuSE 9.3 configuration. In SuSE 10.0 a test showed that
irw can't connect via unix-socket.
A replacement of lircd and irw (lirc-0.7.2) made it work again.

Hardware: cinergyT2 remote -> /dev/input/event (linux-input-layer)

lircd is running correctly?
is the driver loaded already at the point lirc is started?
Comment 2 Marcus Wegner 2005-09-22 00:51:05 UTC
I changed only the two binaries and it worked as expected (compiled from
source).

- lircd was configured and running correctly.
- the driver was loaded via hotplug. the lircd was started on boot.

I restarted the lircd rc process for tests manually.

IMHO no boot, module, init or config problem.

Hmm, I can't reproduce it on my machine.
Ludwig, any idea on this one?
Comment 4 Gerd Hoffmann 2005-10-20 10:08:29 UTC
Oh, is lircd still running after trying to connect with irw?
If not, this might be the same issue as bug #118920 ...
