Description Andre Hergenhan 2005-09-13 11:52:33 UTC
Hi

First of all, sorry for my bad englisch, i`m from germany

I`m using SuSE 10 Beta 4 from SUPER SUSE Project.
Istalled on a Sony Vaio PCG-GRT996VP Notebook
Pentium IV 2,8GHz, 512 MB RAM

Yesterday i have installed the kernelupdate with YOU. Since i have installed it,
i have no network connection. And i dont know why.
I have reinstalled die original Kernel an then it worked fine.

Original Kernel from Beta 4 ISO was 2.6.11-3
Kernelupdate ist version 2.6.11-9

I have observed the same Problem in SuSE 9.3 with the last kernelupdate to
version 2.6.11.4-21.9. Befor the update i used kernel 2.6.11.4-21.8 and
everything worked fine and after updating no network an the sound also makes
problems.
I have posted it to suse, and suse say`s start with acpi=oldboot but this have
no effect.

It would be nice to know how to eleminate this problem, so feel free to mail me

best regards
andre
