Bugzilla – Bug 116771
Multisynk and Kontact via Bluetooth/IRMC doesn't syncs at all
Last modified: 2008-06-25 09:52:46 UTC
Sync Kontact through Multisynk via IrmcSync Connector fails. The IrmcSync Connector successfully finds the bluetooth cellphone connection and also it services. The cellphone shows the message that its currently on syncing. But nothing happens at all. The message stays as long as the user goes to the Multisynk sync pair configuration and manually clicks on a found cell phone in the list of cell phones. The it finisches the sync process with the cellphons message that the sync was successful finished but the Multisynk tool hasn't synchronized anything. The Sync protocol shows nothing (empty). The Cellphone is K7100i tying to sync with KDE Addressbook (Kontact)
Multisynk is unfinished and mostly doesn't work. It can sync files between machines but isn't useful for real world use. The KDE sync framework is being rewritten at present. Until that is done I recommend you look at tools like kmobiletools, kandy, gammu, gnokii.
we can't do much about it with the resources we have ;(
mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy)
Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED. In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
