Description Joe Crollard 2005-09-14 04:33:07 UTC
The error I get is:

'susend2disk failed on unloading 'usb_storage'. Trying to recover...'
Comment 1 Holger Macht 2005-09-14 10:25:47 UTC
I've seen this before, but seldom.

Seife, what can cause the usb module not to unload?
Comment 2 Forgotten User ZhJd0F0L3x 2005-09-14 11:25:44 UTC
the external harddisk is still mounted. Unplug the external harddisk, wait some
seconds and suspend should work.

Yes, the error message could be better, this will be fixed later ;-)
Comment 3 Holger Macht 2005-09-28 07:47:03 UTC
Joe, did you try to unplug the external disk before suspend? Does it work then?
Comment 4 Holger Macht 2005-11-07 09:52:21 UTC
Anything new here? If not, I will close the bug as invalid...
Comment 5 Stefan Behlert 2005-11-24 11:28:45 UTC
Nothing new despite re-asking. Closing as INVALID. Please reopen when you can answer the question from comment 3. Thanks.

Hmm..sorry for the delay. Oddly enough I thought I already replied. Guess not =o.

Holger Macht, yes unplugging it before suspending works. Is there anyway to force the module to unload, so this doesn't have to be done? That would be nice.

Not without breaking the kernel. Sorry, but I have to close the bug as WONTFIX...
