Description JP Rosevear 2005-09-14 12:57:09 UTC
GNOME should be case insensitive for file extensions. Paul sends 2 documents to
Dominic via email attachment. The file names are 'WhatInTheNameOf.Doc' and
'Q1-2006-Results.xLs'. Dominic receives the attachments, saves them to his
desktop and simply clicks on them. We recognize they are Word document and Excel
spreadsheet respectively and open them accordingly.

I just checked. Mime type detection is case insensitive.
