Bugzilla – Bug 117550
Several update problems with courier-authlib (-userdb)
Last modified: 2005-09-19 21:53:37 UTC
I updated my SuSE Linux 9.3 box to 10.0 RC1. In 9.3 I had courier-imap with userdb authentication: Setup in 9.3: - packages courier-imap and courier-authlib - authlib modules: authmodulelist="authcram authuserdb" - userdb file: /etc/userdb (default) After the update to 10.0 RC1 I found this problems: - 10.0 uses an extra package courier-authlib-userdb for userdb authentication (this packages is not selected automatically during the update) - /etc/courier/authdaemonrc is now /etc/authlib/authdaemonrc - the default location for /etc/userdb is now /etc/authlib/userdb - the courier-authlib package has no rccourier-authlib symbolic link If it is not possible to update such setups automatically, an README file or a mail message should inform me, what to do.
That's why it is classified as experimentel, unsupported package.
Where do I find the information, that the package courier-authlib-userdb is experimental and unsupported? ("rpm -qi courier-authlib-userdb" and the YaST package manager don't show this)
