Description Jens Benecke 2005-09-18 20:33:09 UTC
Hello,

when installing a new openSUSE 10 RC1 system (I did it with the net-install
ISO) there is a conflict in the default KDE selection because amarok cannot be
installed without a sound engine and there are several available.

Solution: auto-select an engine (xine or arts for example) for amarok.

Thanks,

Jens

hmm.. the helix engine is not available on opensuse I think , which is the
default engine used on SUSE 10.0.

choosing xine would have been nice indeed, but its too late to fix now,
because selections can't be fixed by a you update.

kde-maintainers/Stefan: can we select both helix and xine engine by default ?
amarok should do the right thing (prefer xine when xine can play mp3,
otherwise choose helix).

amarok-xine and amarok-helix should be in the default selection since a
while ...

it's already done.
