According to https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/545239-Update-Error-The-PackageKit-daemon-has-crashed, this also happens during online updates (presumably under KDE).

Hmm, the logs started from 11.07 somehow and it doesn't include any information
related with the crash. Please try reproduce the issue and re-attach the file.

No response from reporter for a long time. And the last comment from the referred
link in comment#1 says PK is not crashing any more.

Closing this as RESOLVED NORESPONSE.
