Hello,

I just installed the RC1 of OpenSUSE and I have some UI shortcomings which I
will list here and add new ones if I find more:

- Gnome Control center: the dialog for configuring the toolbars isn't visible.
You have to use the Gconf editor for this :(

- The top panel is a little bit sluggish with the notification area on the left
side. It should be maybe on the ride side left beside the colume control.

- The default Gnome install has a bad menu: there are so many programs installed
there - I installed the Gnome version and don't want the KDE console application
etc...

- The Gnome terminal height is too heigh - maybe wrong fonts?

- The Gedit standard font is VERY BIG. Also the panel and the window decorations
seem too high.

Please read http://www.opensuse.org/Submit_a_bug before doing bugreports. All
bugreports that are targetet at the Product should go to SUSE Linux 10.0 and
not to the WIKI.

Sorry - I thought I've chosen the right category. Because these are small UI
things I still will add them here.

- Also the Firefox Tabs are very big so they eat a lot of space.

- Why do you use the little bit outdated Industrial and not Clearlooks as default?

Clearlooks is the new default theme and I think it is important for people to
recognise Gnome independent from what distro you use - assumed that other
Distributors also use the new default theme.

- I moved the Evolution properties dialog with the mouse to the maximum
reachable top of the screen (see sreenshot lower). Now I couldn't move it lower
with the mouse again - I had to press <Alt>-"Left mouse key" to move the window
to another position again.

Ok, one large bug for different UI issues isn't the way to go about this, because they're all very different things. Please file different bugs for different things.

For the initially reported parts: The top panel isn't there anymore, and the notification area is now on the right side of the lower panel. The menu system is largely revamped. The Firefox theme is now the default ffx theme. The toolbar stuff is still there, but it's a different bug: 152994

I'm going to mark this a dup of 152994. For other specific UI issues, like the Evolution thing, please file a different bug.
