YaST Repair wants to create "missing" /proc/bus/usb for usbfs
Last modified: 2005-12-19 06:55:00 UTC
Hello, when starting the YaST system repair from the install CD (10.0 RC1) it complains that the mount point /proc/bus/usb does not exist. This might be due to /proc not being mounted on the installed system, and should not be reported as an error. Thanks, Jens
Please, attach the log files: http://www.opensuse.org/Bug_Reporting_FAQ#YaST
Hi, since this was from a YaST system repair, which runs off of a RAM disk, I could not save the logs. I just tried the repair on my notebook (different machine) and the error did not appear there. Is it not possible to just always exclude creating any mountpoints underneath /proc, /sys etc? They will be created within the mounted filesystem anyway (procfs, sysfs). Thanks, Jens
please, attach the logs, it is possible: just save them on the floppy or via network before you end the repair (and restart the system).
Could you please attach the log files from you repair session?
Hello, I don't have those logs any more. I will try to reproduce the error over the weekend. Sorry! Jens
Any news?
Hello, sorry, I was overloaded with work the last couple weeks. I cannot reproduce this bug currently but I don't have access to the machine anymore where it happened. If you can, freeze this bug, I'll reopen if it happens again. Thank you! :) Jens
OK, INVALID until reopened.
