Description JP Rosevear 2005-09-22 13:46:09 UTC
Impress has two .desktop files, one at
/usr/lib/ooo-2.0/share/xdg/impress.desktop and one at
/usr/share/applications/impress.desktop.

The former registers to handle application/vnd.ms-powerpoint but has
Exec=openoffice.org-1.9 -impress %U, and I don't see such a binary.

The latter desktop file points to a valid binary but does not register to handle
the neccesary mime type.

Mentioned MimeType added.

So - yes, there are loads of .desktop files - which sucks ;-) and we've been to
lazy to prune the bogus internal ones;
Having said that - they shouldn't be used, and the latter
/usr/share/applications/impress.desktop now includes the ms.powerpoint - hence
marked fixed :-)
