Description Alexey Eremenko 2005-09-26 16:12:24 UTC
Today, in order to use ISO which resides on a hard disk, I need to manually
mount it with loop device for each ISO. This manual work is really unnecessary
for the end-user - please make SUSE Linux 10.1 to accept CD and DVD ISOs in Yast
as an Installation Source, just like Mandriva did in their release 2005.

Sounds like a good idea.
Comment 2 Jiri Srain 2005-09-29 11:25:41 UTC
At the moment, AFAIK package manager doesn't support it.

Michael, what do you think about this feature?

well known request

mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy)

Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED.

In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
Comment 8 Michael Andres 2008-07-09 16:19:44 UTC
JFYI: This feature is available since Feb 2006.
