Description S. B. 2021-10-29 14:37:56 UTC
Hi there, the latest version of rpm 4.14.3-40.1 from SLE Updates is unable to import the Packman repomd.xml.key (https://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/packman/suse/openSUSE_Leap_15.3/repodata/repomd.xml.key) It now throws this error:

> :~> rpm --import /etc/zypp/repos.d/repomd.xml.key
>> error: /etc/zypp/repos.d/repomd.xml.key: key 1 import failed.

The exact same key works fine with rpm version 4.14.3-37.2 and all former versions from years in the past.

The same problem has appeared in Tumbleweed with rpm version 4.17.0-1.1, whereas in 4.16.1.3-3.2 and all former rpm versions from prior years the same key has imported correctly.

This current update has broken some scripts that I frequently use.

Thanks for the help!

Same problem has also appeared in Leap 15.2 with rpm version 4.14.1-lp152.18.3.1.x86_64. Reported here:

This is still an issue in Tumbleweed, changing the Product name.
