Bugzilla – Bug 1196150
VUL-0: CVE-2022-25310: fribidi: NULL pointer dereference in fribidi_remove_bidi_marks
Last modified: 2022-06-09 13:23:26 UTC
rh#2047923 SEGV found in fribidi_remove_bidi_marks. References: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2047923 http://web.nvd.nist.gov/view/vuln/detail?vulnId=CVE-2022-25310 https://github.com/fribidi/fribidi/issues/183
The code looks quite different for each codestream, but I was able to reproduce the crash for the following: - SUSE:SLE-11:Update - SUSE:SLE-12:Update - SUSE:SLE-15:Update * - SUSE:SLE-15-SP2:Update - SUSE:SLE-15-SP4:Update - openSUSE:Factory *: for this codestream, the NULL pointer gets caught by an assertion, which crashes the application anyway.
This was fixed in: https://github.com/fribidi/fribidi/pull/186
