Description Larry Rainey 2022-04-15 14:27:57 UTC
It boots and scrolls thru the OK's - when the video on HDMI should be started in X11 - the whole computer hangs - no network - unable to ping or ssh into.

Even fails with setting to boot into run level 3.

Work correctly with 150300.59.60 kernel.

Maybe same as bsc#1198484 "Regression in kernel update 5.3.18-150300.59.60.4"
Comment 2 Ivan Ivanov 2022-04-27 08:16:08 UTC
Hi, please, could you boot without monitor attached to device.
Wait, let say 30 seconds, ssh to it and run dmesg -w and then
plug the monitor. Then attach the whole log here. Thanks!

Possibly a duplicate of bsc#1198534
Comment 4 Larry Rainey 2022-04-27 18:54:40 UTC
paste.opensuse is too busy had to connect via Germany to get it up.

2 files attached

1 is no hdmi to network up

2 is with hdmi connected to network up

neither will shut down with init 0 command

Comment 5 Larry Rainey 2022-04-27 18:56:40 UTC
file 1 - I did plug in the HDMI cable but nothing changed - I waited about 2 minutes then init 6 - never rebooted had to power off the Pi4a
Comment 6 Ivan Ivanov 2022-04-29 12:20:36 UTC
Thanks! Same issue as bsc#1198534. VC4 driver is crashing.
Closing this as duplicated, even if it predates 1198534.
Please, follow discussion in the other ticket.
