Description Michael K 2022-06-10 20:14:10 UTC
I can't start wayland by automatic login. The KDE boot splash comes up briefly and then I end up in the command line. Without autologin the wayland session works!
I have set this in the KDE settings (System Settings > Startup and Shutdown > Login Screen (SDDM).

Same here, already some time. Sometimes I get it to autologin when I re-configure it in plasma's configuration, but then after a while I am back to console login

After a failed login attempt (back on tty login), I try to start sddm manually and get the following log from journalctl

I think this should be moved to the Tumbleweed product, since I can reproduce on a new installation on the latest packages on TW.
Comment 4 Azim Kozubaev 2023-07-22 07:36:09 UTC
I have such a problem that when logging out I can't change the xorg or wayland session. If I go from wayland to xorg, then I have a black screen with a cursor and also vice versa.

Similar error in openSUSE Tumbleweed 20240622 x86_64
I can not use autologin with wayland or pc boot to tty. But wayland works if I login manually

Looks like this issue got fixed again with Plasma 6.1 update. Works fine here after the update.
