Bugzilla – Bug 1203184
Mutt mail client is not compiled with DEBUG support
Last modified: 2023-10-13 14:32:24 UTC
As title says. Steps to reproduce: mutt -nF /dev/null -v -d1 First output line is: DEBUG was not defined during compilation. Ignored. Within output, in the Compile options section: -DEBUG Instead of +DEBUG I'd like to ask if you could add Mutt package DEBUG support, because it's *really* needed sometimes. Thanks.
My understanding is that --enable-debug merely enables the run-time option -d, and has no run-time effects otherwise. Assigning to Werner. Carlos, maybe just send a SR to server:mail/mutt to that effect.
Well, I'm certainly no dev and no expert, but the thing here is: current openSUSE's Mutt package is unable to use any debug mode, which is necessary, because it yields the message "DEBUG was not defined during compilation. Ignored." And I think this should be fixed. What do you mean with "just send a SR to server:mail/mutt"? Is this report being completely dismissed as invalid?
