Bugzilla – Bug 120322
Two Bugs: Display & DVD in SUSE Linux 10.1
Last modified: 2008-06-25 09:52:54 UTC
First Bug: I have a Philips 170c TFT. Since Linux SUSE 10.1 I have difficulties to get a correct Display. It is vertically too large and doesn't fit into the screen! Until SUSE 9.3 I found a posibility to get the automatical found correct size in a switch where I found the option "X-Server-Pool". In SUSE 10.1 I miss it! So I must switch the ON/OFF-Button several times and try the automatical sizefinder at my TFT that I get a correctly displayed View on my Screen. Please correct it! Second Bug: When I insert a DVD the system finds sometimes - mostly the first time - a new device and puts it into its list of devices. But when trying to open the device after use it defuses the giving out of the DVDs. They remain in use inside of the Computer. Here I think is a bug in the mount-system of the devices. A must to correct it! That's unfortunatly für the new Linux from which I expected so much after the good experiences with SUSE 9.3!
Please report the DVD issue as a new bug, we can't handle multiple reports in one bug. About the first problem, which version is it? you selected 10.0, but you wrote 10.1. Please attach hwinfo --monitor, /etx/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/SaX.log to the bug
Please reopen this bug if you can provide the necessary information.
mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy)
Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED. In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
