Any reason why we don't use power-profiles-daemon by default instead of tlp?

I've compared tlp with power-profiles-daemon on different HW (about 10-15 different HW configuration, mobo/cpu). On all of them, power-profiles-daemon seems to offer more feature than tlp (especially power profiles)
