Description Jiri Belka 2023-05-22 10:00:42 UTC
DRBD:

https://documentation.suse.com/sle-ha/15-SP4/html/SLE-HA-all/cha-ha-drbd.html#

Usually customers run drbd under pacemaker cluster - this "howto" does not cover
it, neither it covers "outside the cluster" scenario.

Thus the documentation is "incomplete".

See https://documentation.suse.com/sle-ha/15-SP1/single-html/SLE-HA-nfs-quick/index.html#sec-ha-quick-nfs-resources for content...

Thanks Jiri, that's a good point. The DRBD steps in the HA NFS guide are much easier to follow (and include adding resources to the cluster, as you noted), while the DRBD chapter in the Admin Guide tries to include as many options as possible but is harder to read as a result.

I also recently opened an issue to improve the structure of '22.3 Setting up DRBD service', so I can probably work on that in parallel with this one and improve the whole chapter overall.

Hi Jiri, here's the PR for this: https://github.com/SUSE/doc-sleha/pull/353

Yan, could you please look too? It should be fine as the procedure comes from the recently improved HA NFS guide, but just in case.

I do still intend to improve the structure of '22.3 Setting up DRBD service', but that will take a bit longer so I didn't want to delay this one waiting for it.

It makes sense and looks good to me, Tahlia.

What do you think, Roger?
Comment 4 Roger Zhou 2023-10-23 01:21:19 UTC
All look good to me! Thank you Jiri, Tahlia, and Yan for the join feedback from different angles!

Thanks everyone! This is now complete and has been backported. It will be published with the next weekly docs update.
