Description William Brown 2023-05-26 01:08:35 UTC
The yast-auth-server tool is extremely limited in what it can do - for a long period of time it was broken and no one noticed. Additionally the experience of setting up a directory server from the dscreate tool is far better than what we can offer in yast without a significant amount of work - work that I suspect will not end up being used or seen given the lack of interest from the community.

As a result, we should remove the yast-auth-server tool in the future. The first stage to this is to advise users that the tool is deprecated and being removed in future.

IMHo this module is marked as deprecated and will be removed in the future.
