Description Bruno Souza Costa Campello 2023-06-15 00:52:42 UTC
I just installed the version available in the official repository of opensuse 15.5 and the following error occurs: "terminate called after throwing an instance of 'H5::DataSpaceIException'".

In opensuse version 15.4 it was working.

assigning to maintainer

Clearly a software bug, so should be fixed upstream. Probably some version incompatibility.

Seems QGIS project closed that bug already two times because no feedback came after the initial report.

https://forums.opensuse.org/t/qgis-from-application-geo-repo-not-working/137197
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/issues/30821
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/issues/50897

If you want it fixed report it upstream again for the most recent version and follow up when they ask or don't react.

I'm using Tumbleweed and never saw this bug.

As you said it worked for 15.4 and above reports indicate that's an issue since 15.0 I assume it's not only the version, but a specific configuration or installation or something alike. Maybe you're missing some hdf5 stuff? Is "hdf5" package installed?
