opensuse-welcome trace in journal

opensuse-welcome crashes on gnome, xfce, lxde, lxqt whereas it works fine on KDE plasma.

Downgrading Mesa from 23.1.2 to 23.0.3 fixes the issue.

Yep, same error: egl initialization fails with 3003 (EGL_BAD_ALLOC).
