Bugzilla – Bug 1212479
unstable Support to Dual Monitors on X11
Last modified: 2023-07-27 12:01:34 UTC
hello. i want contact to "Stefan Dirsch", because, him was solved my previous inquiry. please check previous "bug 1210484" report. (check for system and environment) many days, i tested openSUSE Tumbleweed on computer. not stable supported Dual Monitor. i did exclude some packages from the tumbleweed installation phase. LibreOffice, transmission, gimp, evolution, polari, gnome-keyring tigerVNC, ibus, fcitx, gnome-games(chess, mine, etc, all of it.) complete tumbleweed installation reboot shown the dual monitor(same displayed, not extended) and next install a nvidia-drivers-G06. not shown dual monitor after reboot. same display and extend, both. therefore, reinstalled Tumbleweed for test. i checked a exclude package, one by one. delete(or exclude) the gnome game won't show dual monitors. reboot after reinstalled gnome-chess. Sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it doesn't turn on at all. both of. shown black screen in splash phase, all stop. What does gnome-games have to do with dual monitor display? this is critical, because it can't be use. >>> Other issues identified during test 1. gnome nautilus is not working. sometimes. 2. "welcome" application fonts bigger, sometimes. 3. YAST will install other package, i didn't select. for example LXQT packages.
Hmm. Is this with nvidia proprietary drivers installed? Is this on Wayland or X11? Please attach the output of 'xrandr'? And also the result of 'nvidia-bug-report.sh', if you have the nvidia driver installed.
