Description Frank Hollmann 2023-06-24 20:31:16 UTC
ALP Installation without a proxy makes it very difficult for secured Environments behiond a firewall.

Feature-Request: D-Installer should be configured to use a proxy during install.

Frank,

for right now, please try this workaround:

  https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1207877#c13

you may have to s/d-installer/agama/ .

Also, please be aware that right now there are various demo / preview ISOs around.

For the final product, I'd expect at least one "full DVD" ISO that already contains everything, so no network access to the SUSE repositories will be necessary. That should be much more appropriate for your use case.

Hi Frank,

We plan to implement such a feature (see[1] for more details). Actually, you can find more information about the roadmap in Confluence[2].

I will add a reference to this bug.

Thanks!

This feature is already available in Agama 4 (the new name for D-Installer). See the announcement: https://yast.opensuse.org/blog/2023-09-27/agama4

Closing this bug.

Thanks!
