Description dev 2023-06-27 15:39:16 UTC
On a machine with 12th generation (Alder Lake) Intel CPU with Integrated Graphics, upgrading to kernel 6.3.9 and Mesa 23-1.3 (snapshot 20230624) "breaks" intel_gpu_top. Unclear (and don't know how to test) whether GPU acceleration still works or not.

When running intel_gpu_top, all the outputs are 0 and it seems that it's not able to get the readings from /dev/dri/card1

Upgrading to kernel 6.3.9, but with Mesa (and related packages) at 23-1.2, keeps things working.

After upgrading to 20230628 the problem doesn't manifest.
