Bugzilla – Bug 1212880
SDDM no longer has a virtual keyboard by default
Last modified: 2023-10-14 16:25:02 UTC
With SDDM 0.20.0, the included 11-kwin_wayland.conf file has InputMethod= to make switching to DisplayServer=wayland easier. This has the side effect that the virtual keyboard is not shown by default anymore when using Xorg. Removing InputMethod= and using the built-in default of qtvirtualkeyboard again would break the wayland option, so SDDM should probably have a dynamic default for this option. ## Observation openQA test in scenario opensuse-Tumbleweed-NET-x86_64-otherDE_lxqt@64bit fails in [reboot_icewm](https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/3395892/modules/reboot_icewm/steps/9) ## Test suite description ## Reproducible Fails since (at least) Build [20230629](https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/3394783) ## Expected result Last good: [20230628](https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/3392694) (or more recent) ## Further details Always latest result in this scenario: [latest](https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/latest?arch=x86_64&distri=opensuse&flavor=NET&machine=64bit&test=otherDE_lxqt&version=Tumbleweed)
With https://github.com/sddm/sddm/pull/1753, we can drop InputMethod= from our sddm config.
