Description Bjørn Lie 2023-07-01 19:57:38 UTC
bjolie@haldis:~> sudo lspci -vv | grep -i Ether
07:02.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8169 PCI Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 10)
Subsystem: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8169/8110 Family PCI Gigabit Ethernet NIC

Kernel version 6.3.7-1-default == fine working r8169 driver

when using 6.3.9-1-default, the ethernet connection is "unstable" - even ends up loosing connection at some times.

Download speed varies a lot - but upload is stable as a rock.

Ive also tried using

kernel-default-6.4.0-1.2, but that behaves as 6.3.9-1-default.

logs does not provide anything usefull as far as I can tell.

And today all kernel versions have been stable and fine....

I have no idea what is going on

Closing as invalid for now.
