Description Marcus Meissner 2023-07-04 11:56:24 UTC
steamcmd on 15.4 leads to segfault.

found by openqa. run as root

/usr/bin/steamcmd +login anonymous +app_update 90 validate +quit

it reports missing libSDL3.so.0

and while it updates, in the end it segfaults

Is it same as https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1212392?
Comment 2 Marcus Meissner 2023-07-04 13:28:32 UTC
yes. but its unfixed and i dont see what was done to fix 15.5?
Comment 3 Fabian Vogt 2023-07-26 11:07:52 UTC
For some reason on 15.4 and 15.5 it segfaults randomly. Sometimes it works.

We're not the only ones affected: https://github.com/lloesche/valheim-server-docker/issues/633
Comment 4 Dirk Stoecker 2023-07-26 11:11:10 UTC
Please add to that report or submit a new upstream report. That's clearly a software issue and no packaging issue, so a wontfix here.
Comment 5 Dirk Stoecker 2023-07-26 11:12:07 UTC
Note that when you can provide them a setup which fails reliable instead of randomly that may help a lot to fix the bug.
