Description Brian Rackliffe 2023-07-23 14:57:07 UTC
System log files in /var/log/:

https://documentation.suse.com/sles/15-SP5/html/SLES-all/cha-tuning-syslog.html#sec-tuning-syslog-logs

This statement is not correct: "Copies from previous X.Org starts are numbered Xorg.?.log"

The number in the file name is the display number. Xorg.0.log is the log for display #0. Xorg.1.log is the log for display #1. etc.

The log from the previous start is: Xorg.<display number>.log.old
