Bugzilla – Bug 1213913
valid metadata not found when trying to add calibre ebook library manager - SUSE:SLE-15-SP5:GA
Last modified: 2023-10-10 15:02:37 UTC
15.5, x64, tried to add the calibre application the other day via: (.ymp) file <https://software.opensuse.org/package/calibre?locale=en> then manually expert download for 15.5 <https://software.opensuse.org/download/package?package=calibre&project=home%3Aecsos%3Apython%3Aapplications> in the .ymp file, I think i triggered it via yast2 software or repository management and it tried to add a longer list of various repos from the OBS and opensuse infrastructures, but one repo failed (calibre gotton installed and works never the less fine) ever since that, zypper ref or any zypper up and the like operation gives the error regarding that one faulty? repo: Retrieving repository 'SUSE:SLE-15-SP5:GA' metadata ...................................................................................................................................................................................................................[error] Repository 'SUSE:SLE-15-SP5:GA' is invalid. [https-download.opensuse.org-8d0d01d8|https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/SUSE:/SLE-15-SP5:/GA/pool/] Valid metadata not found at specified URL History: - [https-download.opensuse.org-8d0d01d8|https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/SUSE:/SLE-15-SP5:/GA/pool/] Repository type can't be determined. Please check if the URIs defined for this repository are pointing to a valid repository. Skipping repository 'SUSE:SLE-15-SP5:GA' because of the above error. ------------------------------------- anything amiss in that repo? thanks.
Sorry. But this has absolutely nothing to do with calibre. Neither with calibre in the official repos nor with calibre from home:ecsos:python:applications. Because the error comes from Retrieving repository 'SUSE:SLE-15-SP5:GA, which was created by the "one-click-install". For whatever reason. Because when calibre aud h:e:p:a was installed, this installation only needs the default repos and h:e:p and h:e:p:a. No other repos. So this is a problem with the "one-click-installer". This has never really worked properly. It has always been to be used with caution. And I mean the errors occur more and more often. The repository 'SUSE:SLE-15-SP5:GA does not exist at all! Unfortunately I don't know exactly to whom I should forward the bug now. I hope it was the right target.
Hi Lubos, would you please help to take a look at this issue? I don't know whom is the correct assignee for it, please feel free to reassign and thanks.
