Description Felix Niederwanger 2023-08-04 08:02:15 UTC
After the TW update from 20230801 to 20230802, Evolution (running under KDE) can't login to imap.suse.de and Office 365 (via evolution-ews) anymore. After starting Evolution keeps asking me for the password but it never succeeds to login. The username/password dialog just keeps popping up.

The same is for the Office 365 account, where it keeps asking me to login (I did one new login already).

I'm running Evolution under KDE.

A rollback to TW snapshot 20230801 resolves all occurring issues here.

Issue still present in snapshot 20230805.

Two more observations regarding this issue:

* After updating to a newer TW snapshot than 20230801, the system responsiveness decreases noticeably. This is not only for Evolution, but also e.g. the Firefox startup process takes (subjectively) twice as long
* I get asked for my openpgp passphrase, which does not occur otherwise
* SELinux is not to blame, even in premissive mode the issues appear

All issues disappear when rolling back to the 20230801 snapshot.
Comment 3 Felix Niederwanger 2023-08-14 08:56:10 UTC
Still broken in TW snapshot 20230812. The issue is also present in kMail and Nextcloud.

I have the suspicion that something is wrong with kWallet. When starting kMail kWallet asks me for my gpg passphrase (which it shouldn't and does not occur in a healthy backup) and also Nextcloud fails to login and asks to re-login.

So as of now, any TW snapshot after 20230801 breaks Evolution/kMail/Nextcloud.
