When using evolution-3.42.4-150400.3.3.1 with
libwebkit2gtk-4_0-37-2.40.5-150400.4.45.3
mail preview is just a small slot and can't be resized.

There's an update pending for this. In the meantime, you can get a fixed
package from the GNOME:STABLE:41 repo. Ie,
zypper add https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/STABLE:/41/openSUSE_Leap_15.4/GNOME:STABLE:41.repo
