Bugzilla – Bug 1214904
owncloud-client in Leap 15.5 can't sync with owncloud Server 10.13
Last modified: 2023-09-25 16:11:09 UTC
The owncloud-client in Leap 15.5 fails to sync with the recently released ownCloud server 10.13. The tray icon says "Unsupported client version". Full errror message on a German langauge desktop is: Der Server hat "403 Forbidden" auf "PROPFIND <serverurl>" geantworted (invalid client version). I suspect this is because Leap still ships owncloud-client 3.2.0 while upstream and Tumbleweed are on owncloud-client 4.x.
Can you try the current version from KDE:Extra? (https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/KDE:Extra/owncloud-client) If that works, it can probably just be submitted as maintenance update.
Thanks for the swift reply. Yes, the version from KDE:Extra works fine. Meanwhile I also found the relevant bit in the ownCloud Server 10.13 release notes[1]: "the minimum version the server will accept connections from has been raised to version 3.2.1". Leap has 3.2.0. Thanks for testing. Update submitted to 15.4 (sr#1108639) and 15.5 (sr#1108640).
This is an autogenerated message for OBS integration: This bug (1214904) was mentioned in https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/1108639 Backports:SLE-15-SP4 / owncloud-client https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/1108640 Backports:SLE-15-SP5 / owncloud-client
thanks a lot for forwarding the update to Leap. I always fail to find out how to do it, or, it is not clear to me what the update policies are for that prods. Anyway, many thanks.
