Bugzilla – Bug 1214917
libnvidia-egl-wayland no longer available as -32bit, breaking all 32-bit wayland applications
Last modified: 2023-10-11 11:48:38 UTC
It looks like this vendor-specific -32bit library was disabled. It's required for any 32-bit application to use EGL on wayland on nVidia hardware, which is basically any 32-bit wayland application, or any 32-bit application which uses SDL, when SDL_VIDEODRIVER=wayland. With sdl12-compat and similar, this will start to affect more applications as SDL3 moves to using wayland as default. The only affected package should be: - libnvidia-egl-wayland1-32bit It already has a baselibs.conf, so should otherwise be good to go. Thanks!
No idea why this is missing now on Tumbleweed. I don't think it's a packaging issue. As you already mentioned it's defined in baselibs.conf.
Reassinging to TW release manager.

This must have disappeared back when we disabled -32bit stuff except for things that were used to build/run (exlciti deps) wine. I'll enable build of libnvidia-egl-wayland1 for i586 (plus deps that might show up) to get this -32bit library back in place.
Package exists again in Tumbleweed: > zypper se -s libnvidia-egl-wayland1-32bit S | Name | Type | Version | Arch | Repository --+----------------------------------------+---------+------------+--------+-------------------------- | libnvidia-egl-wayland1-32bit | package | 1.1.12-1.2 | x86_64 | Main Repository (OSS) | libnvidia-egl-wayland1-32bit-debuginfo | package | 1.1.12-1.2 | x86_64 | openSUSE-Tumbleweed-Debug
