Description David Kerkhof 2023-09-15 13:14:32 UTC
When I use xdg-terminal from a script it fails because kreadconfig is not found. Obviously until recently there must have been a symlink of kreadconfig5 to kreadconfig so it worked, and now it fails. Would it be possible to add this symlink again to those kde-plasma applications? Seems KDE is very good at breaking existing packages by ever renaming their executables.

https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/1108355 dropped the patch and mentions it was fixed upstream.

What does `rpm -qv xdg-utils` return?

The SR diff shows that it was not fixed upstream.

FTR:

This was broken by a change in xdg-utils. kreadconfigX didn't get renamed. There will be kreadconfig6 soon, but FWICT xdg-utils already supports this.
