Description Rihards Olups 2023-10-10 11:50:17 UTC
MacOS 13.6 (Ventura), Virtualbox 7.0.10, latest OpenSUSE virtualbox-kmp-default and virtualbox-guest-tools packages (problem observed with several latest versions).
VBoxClient with the "--vmsvga-session" running.

After upgrading MacOS and Virtualbox (from 6 to 7), the virtual machines (set to fullscreen) boot into the GUI, but they end up in a smaller resolution - 1280x800.
Resizing the VM (for example, cmd+f twice) correctly resizes to fullscreen, 1680x1050.

This likely is a problem with the vbox packages, reporting here as using the OpenSUSE ones.

I select via Virtualbox View for Virtual Screen 1 for 1680x1050 and reboot - it stays that size. With Host Leap and Host Tumbleweed.

Tumbleweed and Leap 15.5 do the same as does Windows 11 guest.

Full screen does this on Oracle's Host and Guest code for 7.0.10.

This is reported as MacOS issue on Oracles VirtualBox Support - full screen comes up to smaller screen size than headless or full screen was set to.
