grub.cfg with two images

Hi, I don't see the snapshot entries in the GRUB menu. It seems that it's failing since weeks ago (I tried even the latest image). I thought that I broke my MicroOS/Aeon installation, but after reinstalling the system with a new image, the bug is still there.

I tried these commands from the transactional-update shell, but they didn't solve anything:

sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg

grub2-mkconfig and grub2-install

The bug seems similar to this: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1160038

I have an old installation of MicroOS/Aeon in one laptop and I can see the snapshot entries in the GRUB menu, but on my desktop, with a newer image, the "/.snapshot/grub-snapshot.cfg" file is missing.

I installed the images with the missing "/.snapshot/grub-snapshot.cfg" file on physical machine and on GNOME Boxes and I get the same result.

/boot/grub2/grub.cfg file in a recent installation

It seems that some lines of the "/boot/grub2/grub.cfg" file are missing.

I'm unable to recreate this issue

Is grub2-snapper-plugin installed?
Comment 4 Eduardo Medina 2023-10-19 16:22:41 UTC
Yeah, the grub2-snapper-plugin wasn't installed. I'm an anti-tinkering Linux user, so the package is not preinstalled in the ISO media installation. I saw the bug in my physical machine and I installed MicroOS/Aeon several times on GNOME Boxes and with UEFI support enabled.

Thank you very much for your help. Now I see the snapshot entries in GRUB menu, but I think that the ISO image needs to be monitored or patched.

Resolved, works for me
