This bug report might be better suited for another component or even upstream. I am not that familiar with the ecosystem yet.

When searching an application to launch, I noticed that search behavior can be quite unpredictable. As an example, when trying to launch a terminal by searching for 'term' and then pressing enter. The first entry, which is selected by default switches often.

This is reproducible by typing the letters one by one.

t    -> Terminal - Super User Mode
te -> Terminal - Super User Mode
ter  -> Info Center
term -> Konsole

But also when typing 'term' really fast. It starts out with the SU mode terminal selected and then jumps to Konsole in a split second. To express this in a timeline:

T -> R -> U -> E

Where:
 - T: I am typing a search query
 - R: I register that the application I'd like to launch is found and selected
 - U: The update happens and entries are re-ordered
 - E: I physically press the ENTER key

These behaviors often result in accidentally launching the wrong application.
