Description Petr Valenta 2023-11-23 10:16:04 UTC
Hello,
after upgrading to latest nvidia (545.29.02) brightness control doesn't work on my Lenovo legion laptop.

There is already patch that fix this issue:
https://github.com/NVIDIA/open-gpu-kernel-modules/files/13310810/0001-nvkms-initialize-brightnessType-in-_BACKLIGHT_BRIGHT.patch.txt

More info: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/80299

Workaround: downgrade nvidia packages

Thanks

Fixed packages of driver update 545.29.06 are already on-the-way.

- Update to version 545.29.06
  * Fixed a regression that prevented setting backlight brightness levels.
