Last modified: 2023-11-29 08:24:31 UTC
Created attachment 871019 [details] Weather Widget (stock) displaying absurd current values KDE Weather Widget shows seriously wrong temperature as you can see on sceenshot. Only change I did was changing temperature/distance units via kde system settings as they look alien to me. My Data source is set to Deutscher Wetterdienst by the widget. >locale LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 LC_CTYPE="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_NUMERIC=tr_TR.UTF-8 LC_TIME="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_COLLATE="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_MESSAGES="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_PAPER="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_NAME="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_ADDRESS="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_TELEPHONE="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_MEASUREMENT=tr_TR.UTF-8 LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_ALL= Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20231126 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.9 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.112.0 Qt Version: 5.15.11 Kernel Version: 6.6.2-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz Memory: 7,7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 5500 Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard Product Name: HP Pavilion 13 x360 PC System Version: 0977120000405F00000410180
I am also observing this issue from time to time with data provided by the Deutsche Wetterdienst. Definitely an upstream issue.
Update: It doesn't have anything to do with units/locale. On my other TW without these settings show wind thousands km/hour and temperature very low. It is Antalya, TR. I couldn't find a way to get whatever data it gets it would really help. I can do with instructions.
update: It seems to have been fixed. I see sane numbers of current conditions. Build: 20231127 >date -u Wed 29 Nov 07:21:22 UTC 2023
Apologies for closing the bug, it is back. I assume it is somehow getting wrong data.
