Description Stakanov Schufter 2023-12-05 10:04:32 UTC
This bug does only present in Wayland, in X11 all is perfect.

When you use Kaffeine with a dvb-s card under Wayland, it works as foreseen but, the window of the TV screen is presented as a separate independent and frameless floating window. The change of channel etc are all working as expected in kaffeine, but of course you have two windows open, which makes the use under Wayland tedious/weird.

Will try to make you a screenshot and put it as attachment.

as described above.
When closing the window with the picture, sound may continue for a while. Kaffeine will close or hang and has to be killed

That's https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397594 You can try running `kaffeine -platform xcb` as suggested in comment 5.

Note that kaffeine is unmaintained upstream.
