"This approach requires setting up the networking of the workstation manually." The rescue image also supports DHCP (as default) as first step of linuxrc. 2. "When prompted, choose the desired answer language and keyboard layout and select Start rescue system." You can select the language on the boot screen, which will also change the keyboard layout accordingly. Additionally, you can select a keyboard as second step of linuxrc. 3. The section does not mention that you need to log in as root (no password) and mount the DVD/USB drive to /media/repo. The installation source should then automatically made available via FTP, NFS and SMB (see screenshot). Overall, this section should include a procedure describing the individual steps. Site note: Only FTP works, NFS and SMB not, probably due to the failed start jobs for rpcbind.service, nmb.service, and smb.service. But this seems a bug in the image, not the documentation, let's deal with this in a separate bug.
