An out-of-bounds read vulnerability was found in smbCalcSize in fs/smb/client/netmisc.c in the Linux Kernel. This issue could allow a local attacker to crash the system or leak internal kernel information.

FYI, I posted a patch[1] to fix this CVE.

It was already applied to maintainer's for-next branch and I'm waiting for some potential feedbacks before backporting it.
