Description Emiel de Grijs 2005-10-09 19:25:21 UTC
I try to install the Suse 10.0 for PPC on my iMac G3. After typing install one of the first messages I get is:
"cannot allocate resource region 1 of device 0000:00:12.0
moving into tempfs... Done"
After that message it apparently goes well, it finds all kinds of hardware. Just after the installation detects
a linux console it displays the message: "please supply a config file".
The screen blanks and the only thing I see is a small cursor and the only thing I can do is poweroff the
iMac. No typing is possible.

ok, please boot with textmode=1.
Comment 2 Emiel de Grijs 2005-10-10 17:08:30 UTC
Problem solved.
"install textmode=1" worked for me.

Thanks for the quick response.
