The Factory versions of PowerDNS appears to be lagging behind the official releases ?

For example, pdns-recursor 5.0.1 was released 4/1/24, one month ago, but the Factory is still on 4.9.1 ? So its not even up to date on the 4.9 branch which is at 4.9.2 since November 2023 ?

Has it been abandoned ?

Someone has to notice and at least write a helpful reminder. Even better, if you updated it and sent it to devel project. If no one notices out-of-date software, then it kind of is a statement that no one is actually using it.

looks like pdns now requires Rust to compile ... it will take until next week to get this figured out ... offline build results in plenty of unknown linker symbols...

Updated to 5.0.1 and submitted to Factory. Thanks for the reminder.
