Description Richard Young 2005-10-10 14:32:29 UTC
Suse 10 final eval dvd doesn't configure my ethernet card automatically

It configures my wireless (although it doesnt work) by default. But for the
rtl card i have to click edit and configure it manually to use dhcp.

when i run /etc/rc.d/network restart

it seems to get an ip successfully but the internet still doesn't work.

not autoyast related.
Comment 2 Martin Vidner 2005-10-11 13:31:20 UTC
There are two issues:
1) yast only proposes to configure one card. Yes, we have a feature request to
improve that already.

2) internet does not work if you configure the wired card after the wireless
one. It is probably a problem with two dhcp clients fighting. Please try to
set the both card to be activated On cable connection (Advanced/Detailed
Settings, or STARTMODE=ifplugd in ifcfg). If it does not help, reopen the bug.
