VUL-0: CVE-2021-46965: kernel-source,kernel-source-azure,kernel-source-rt: mtd: physmap: physmap-bt1-rom: unintentional stack overread
Last modified: 2024-02-28 08:23:01 UTC
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: physmap: physmap-bt1-rom: Fix unintentional stack access Cast &data to (char *) in order to avoid unintentionally accessing the stack. Notice that data is of type u32, so any increment to &data will be in the order of 4-byte chunks, and this piece of code is actually intended to be a byte offset. We have b3e79e7682e0 ("mtd: physmap: Add Baikal-T1 physically mapped ROM support") in cve/linux-5.14, SLE15-SP6, stable and master, all of which have the fix. Closing.
