Bugzilla – Bug 1221440
kpeople isn't updated along with the rest of Plasma 6 when upgrading
Last modified: 2024-03-19 10:08:13 UTC
After updating to Plasma 6, kpeople5 is left in place, when kf6-kpeople should be installed: [sfalken@mustang ~]$ zypper se kpeople Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... S | Name | Summary | Type --+---------------------+----------------------------------------------------------------+-------- | kf6-kpeople | Library for access to contacts and identity holders | package | kf6-kpeople-devel | Library for access to contacts and identity holders | package | kf6-kpeople-imports | QML imports for kpeople | package | kf6-kpeople-lang | Translations for package kf6-kpeople | package i | kpeople5 | Library for access to contacts and identity holders | package | kpeople5-devel | Library for access to contacts and identity holders | package | kpeople5-lang | Translations for package kpeople5 | package | kpeoplevcard | A vCard plugin for KPeople | package | kpeoplevcard-devel | Development files for kpeoplevcard, a vCard plugin for KPeople | package
It's not really an issue, both packages are coinstallable. kpeople 6.x will be installed when something needs it.

Fix is now in factory, it will appear in one of the next snapshots
I confirm that Tumbleweed 20240317-0 fixes the dependency (at least in the case of kdeconnect-sms). Thanks.
